Critical Alert to All Tesla Model X Owners and Potential Buyers:
I am addressing this to both current and prospective Tesla Model X owners to highlight a disturbing and potentially costly issue that I have recently encountered. This matter not only reflects a serious flaw in the vehicle’s technology but also a troubling lack of accountability from Tesla.
After a standard software update on my Model X, both of my key fobs suddenly became non-functional, losing all connection with the car. Expecting a simple resolution, I took the matter to the Tesla service center, only to be confronted with an astonishing response: I was told that my keys were now rendered useless (“garbage”, as per their terminology) and the only solution was for me to purchase new key fobs at my own expense.
It is crucial to understand that these key fobs were fully operational prior to Tesla’s software update. The timing and nature of their failure strongly suggest that the update was the direct cause of the malfunction. Yet, Tesla’s response was devoid of any acknowledgement of this possibility. They showed a complete disregard for the inconvenience and financial burden placed on me, a customer who had trusted in their technology and service.
This incident is not just about malfunctioning key fobs; it raises a red flag about the reliability of Tesla’s technology, particularly post-update, and their customer support’s unwillingness to acknowledge or rectify issues that their updates might cause.
As someone who has experienced this first-hand, I feel obligated to warn others. This situation is unacceptable and should be a critical consideration for anyone who owns or is thinking of purchasing a Tesla vehicle. The company’s failure to address such a significant issue responsibly is alarming and deserves attention from both current and potential customers.
I ordered Tesla Y in August and the sales representatives were really friendly in the beginning and now when we are about to pick up the car the sales reps do not respond to our emails and questions at all.
So different than before and after purchasing the car. I’m really disappointed at them how they could change so quickly.
I don’t think I can refer any of my friends to this Tesla location.
Maybe I should email the company about how their employees are handling the customers.
Our sales person was very professional and knowledgeable. Taking a test drive was easy. We enjoyed the experience.
Needed to service our car and was greeted by Peter in the service department. He was very professional and helped us in every way he could. And if he couldn't he would get someone who could. A bonus is the service is open 7 days a week.
The customer service was really lacking and even came off as rude. When I asked about how the Tesla Model S stacks up against other electric cars like the Lucid Air, the response was pretty snarky. The guy said, "I don't know any human being who drives a Lucid," as if to say Lucid cars are so bad, only animals would drive them. That's just rude, honestly. And Lucid is actually more advanced than Tesla in terms of technology (look up reviews on youtube).
And get this - despite what many think, Tesla isn't even at the top when it comes to EV sales. They're actually second (BYD is #1). It looks like they're doing well in Canada mainly because there aren't many other options to choose from. I love Tesla but the service is terrible compared to even traditional car brands.
Came in this afternoon to talk to someone and get financing information only to be met with someone at the front desk that seemed completely uninterested in me as a client. Got short answers to my questions and she quickly went back to her computer to her tasks that were unrelated to my case while I was sitting across and asking questions. I felt like I was bothering her vs potentially wanting to buy a véhicule. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism and customer service.
Lynne at the service desk helped me when I didn’t know how else to charge my car and get home. She had a solution to the problem and I had a terrible day and she solved it right away and was so friendly it literally made my day.
Super friendly staff everywhere when I walked in and when I went down to plug my car in. Appreciated it so much.
Went to this dealer for my test drive for both the 3 and Y. Kevin Kok helped me and was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable throughout the entire process. I decided to keep in touch with Kevin and he was my SA from the beginning to end. He was attentive, answered all my questions throughout and also called me to explain details rather than email. It was comforting having a direct contact at Tesla especially after reading some of the horror stories on delivery delays. He also helped me secure a Tesla 3 Performance in Saskatoon and had it brought over so instead of waiting 2-3 months, I was able to get the vehicle in less than 2 weeks! A special surprise were little Toy Tesla model cars for my kids! I couldn't be happier with him and would recommend people to reach out to Kevin at this location. You will not be sorry!
